Flint's Road Rovers Fan Site

It's time for this show to come back...

Meet the canines! (As well as other characters)

Main Characters:

Welcome to the Characters page. Here you will learn more about each character and their personalities.

  • Hunter (Jess Harnell) - A golden retriever mix from the United States. Hunter is the leader of the Road Rovers. His naivete and literal thinking aside, he is a confident and serious leader who finds time to add humor to a situation. His primary superpower is super speed, though he also lists such abilities as super generosity, super forgiveness, and super super luck. His two main catch phrases are, "I would not have predicted this," and "Yet another unexpected twist...bummer!" which he uses during plot cliches.

Colleen (Tress MacNeille) - A cute collie from the United Kingdom, and the only female dog

in the group; Colleen's specific skill is martial arts which is noticable in both cano-sapain form and pure canine form. She has also displayed keen medical skills. During the episodes, there are a few hints of a secret relationship between her and Hunter, while at the same time, she is recieving endless confessions from Blitz, another member of the team. She does not care for Blitz so she pretends to forget his name, just to annoy him.
  • Exile (Kevin Michael Richardson) - A Siberian Husky from Siberia; Exile is the "engineer" of the team. He is seen fixing and unfixing things. His superpowers are heat, freeze and night vision, along with super strength. He does, however, have a tendency to completely butcher everyday American expressions, often three or four at a time. He also frequently tells Blitz, "Don't be a weird boy."

Blitz (Jeff Bennett) - A Doberman from Germany: Blitz is the most combative member of the team. His super

powers feature sharp teeth and claws that can cut through anything, like metal, however,

his courage (which he doesn't have a lot of) often causes problems for them all, making him almost useless. He screams like a girl. Blitz is quite vain and
  • has an uninhibited fondness for Colleen, whom he believes he can impress and get together with her despite all his efforts. His main obsession is biting "tooshies", which another word for rear-ends.

  • Shag (Frank Welker) - A sheepdog from Switzerland; unlike the other members, Shag is the only one that can't speak proper english and has no outfit. Therefore, when he goes through the transdogmafier, he just looks a normal dog that walks on it's hind legs, making him a fluke. He has super-strength (stronger than Exile) and stores equipment (weapons, lunch, furniture) in his fur, but, just like Blitz, is also a complete coward. He has an unfortunate tendency to hold his rocket launcher backwards when in battle. He is also the "chef" of the team. His main ingridient is toilet water.

  • Muzzle (Frank Welker) - Formally Professor Shepherd's pet Rottweiler, Scout, a failed experiment with an earlier version of the transdogmafier turned him into a mad and foaming dog. As a result, he is restrained in a strait jacket and mask. The only time he is let out is when he is used a last resort (with the catch-phrase "Let's Muzzle 'em!", said by the other members of the team). When he is let loose and fighting, his actions are always took place off-screen due to possibilites of the extreme violence he could be doing. The result of his actions usually causes the Rovers to be diguested. He was once rescued from animal control officers by Hunter, who was also in the pound with him. They were about to be put to sleep. They been friends since then.

Professor William F. Shepherd (Joseph Campanella) - The geneticist behind the transdogmafier and the Road Rovers. He is the team’s boss and supplier for all their gear. He is known as “the Master” to the Rovers. He always appears before them as a figure with glowing eyes, something he refers as "Special Effects".

  •
  •
  •

  • General Parvo (Jim Cummings) - The Road Rover's main enemy who is out to destroy Proffessor Shepherd, the Rovers, and conquer the world. His assistant, The Groomer, helps him in his quest.
  • The Groomer (Sheena Easton) - The Groomer is the equally nasty assistant to General Parvo. She's generally armed with a portable hair clipper, though she uses other equipment when appropriate. She is loyal to Parvo most of the time.

 Other Characters:

  • Sport (Voice Actor Unknown) - Only seen in one episode, this was a temporary Road Rover. He was stolen by Donovan Bell. His master helped him escape but she didn't get far from Bell. Luckily, Sport was able to join up with the Road Rovers and became transdogmagified so that he can be a witness and testifiy against Bell's actions.
  • Professor Hubert (Voice Actor Unknown) - Like Sport, he is only seen in one episode. He is sort of a analyst of the Rovers. He is a BloodHound. His nose is very strong. He keeps samples of various animals to test for confirmations.
  • Captian Zachery Storm (Voice Actor Unknown) - Another villian seen in only 2 episodes. He is like Parvo: he wants to have control of the world.
